HANOVER PARK, Ill. — Aman Living has unveiled plans for Verandah Retirement Community in Hanover Park, a village 30 miles northwest of Chicago.

The Frankfort, Ill.-based developer is marketing the community to a variety of ethnicities such as Indian, American and Asian. Programming, food, activities and entertainment will be geared toward this cultural mix.

The property combines for-sale and rental options, offering 55 active adult townhomes, 75 condominiums, an 80-bed facility with 68 assisted living units and 12 memory care studios, and a 20,000-square-foot clubhouse.

“After first envisioning this development then moving through the process of vetting multiple land parcels, working with the design team and securing financing, it’s very exciting to introduce this new community that is unlike anything else in the Midwest,” says Dr. Anuja Gupta, a cardiologist and general partner of Aman Living. “Even the food and entertainment at the grand opening event will reflect the ‘East meets West’ philosophy that underpins the design of Verandah.”

Located on 11 acres, the $43 million community will open all townhomes by the end of 2019. Aman Living will break ground on the condominium building in fall 2019.
