ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Argentum has named Angela Kennedy as the association’s vice president of quality and accreditation, a newly created position. Kennedy will build on the work of Argentum’s Phase 1 Standards, which address key imperatives designed to complement state laws and regulations regarding seniors housing.

“The creation of this new position and the addition of Angela to the Argentum team reinforces the commitment of Argentum and its members to the importance of professional standards,” says James Balda, Argentum president & CEO. “These standards are a key step toward promoting rigorous, professional self-regulation, and demonstrate the senior living industry’s commitment to quality service for consumers.”

Kennedy was most recently director of quality improvement for the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), where her duties included strategic leadership for initiating, developing, managing and evaluating the organization‘s quality programs and initiatives. The quality programs included developing an accreditation program, quality metrics and national standards.
