AUSTIN, Texas — Buckner Retirement Services is set to break ground on a $29.8 million expansion and remodel at Buckner Villas, a 25-acre continuing care retirement community in Austin.
Buckner, a nonprofit owner-operator based in Dallas, plans to add 69 independent living units and 70 underground parking spaces in a 122,331-square-foot expansion named GreenRidge. The remodels will affect 16,010 square feet of the existing community and refresh the amenities and common areas.
Buckner partnered with Hill and Wilkinson General Contractors, Barbara J. Vessels Interiors Inc. and D2 Architecture on the project, which already has a waiting list for residents. The changes are scheduled for completion in December 2017.
