LAKEWOOD, N.J. — Donald Johansen will retire as executive director of Harrogate, a 255-unit independent living and skilled nursing community in the Ocean County town of Lakewood, on May 13.
Johansen has served in the position since 1990. Charles Benjamin, who has served as the associate executive director since May of 2015, will take over the position.
Martin Mee, who comes to Harrogate with over 20 years of experience in healthcare and senior living, will assume Benjamin’s former role. Mee has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from LaSalle University, as well as a master’s degree in health administration.
