County IDA Aids Benchmark with $38M Development in New York

WOODBURY, N.Y. — The Nassau County Industrial Development Agency has entered into an economic development compact with Benchmark Senior Living. The agency will assist Benchmark in the development of an assisted living community in Woodbury.

The IDA estimates that the $38 million development will bring $141.6 million in economic benefits and $5.7 million in new tax revenues. The specific benefits of the compact were not disclosed.

Benchmark’s project will deliver a two-story, 74,000-square-foot building with 91 units on a 3.8-acre site.
