Forum to Design Monterey Pointe

by Jeff Shaw

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Forum Architecture and Interior Design, Inc., of Altamonte Springs, Florida has received a contract to design Monterey Pointe, a 150-unit independent senior living residence with attached amenity space.

The project will be located on Greenwald Way North, near the north side of Osceola Parkway and east of John Young Parkway. Construction is anticipated to start in the Spring of 2015.

Monterey Pointe will feature a “Florida Craftsman or Cracker” style architecture in one large apartment building of one and two bedroom unit types. All units will have a balcony or patio. The 5,300-square-foot attached amenity building will provide residents with leasing offices, a gathering/game room, business area, concierge service, fitness zone, dining room, multi-purpose room, indoor bike storage, and pet grooming center. Outdoor courtyard spaces include a pool, gazebo, grilling area, outdoor fireplace and gardens. A large, welcoming port cochere will greet residents and guests.

The Developer, Eastwind Development, and Forum have teamed up on numerous projects including Ridgemont Park Apartments in Smryna, Tenn., Dakota at Abacoa in Jupiter, Fla., and Sonoma Pointe in Kissimmee, Fla., which is currently under construction.
