Healthcare Transactions Group Negotiates Sale of 307-Bed Skilled Nursing Portfolio in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Healthcare Transactions Group has negotiated the sale of the 225-bed Brinton Woods Post Acute Center and 82-bed Brinton Woods Health & Rehab Center at Arlington West, both skilled nursing facilities in Baltimore.

Brinton Woods Management Company, a Maryland-based skilled nursing facility operator led by CEO Daren Cortese, owned and operated Post-Acute Center and Arlington West since 2007 and 2008, respectively. 

Post-Acute Center, in East Baltimore, derives most of its patients from MedStar Health and the Johns Hopkins Health System. Arlington West in West Baltimore, draws mainly from Lifebridge Health and the University of Maryland Health System.

The buyer was a New York-based nursing home owner, operator and investor. Terms and other details of the transaction were not disclosed.
