RICHMOND, Va. — HHHunt, a developer with a division devoted to seniors housing, has hired Todd Kobayashi as the company’s new CFO. Kobayashi will replace James Crowder, who announced he will retire at the end of the year.

Based in the company’s Richmond office, Kobayashi will oversee HHHunt’s corporate finance and accounting functions across all business lines, including corporate cash flow.

Crowder’s retirement will cap a 20-year tenure with HHHunt that saw the company expand throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. He was honored in 2017 by Virginia Business magazine as the Top Virginia CFO for a large private company.

Kobayashi has over a decade of experience financing and developing multifamily living, seniors housing and student housing. Since 2013, he has served as CFO at Foutch Architecture & Development in Kansas City, a leading firm in the country in the redevelopment of historic buildings.

Kobayashi earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Miami University of Ohio. He also graduated from Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
