Inspirit Senior Living Buys Two Communities in Tennessee

by Jeff Shaw

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Inspirit Senior Living has acquired Sunnington Assisted Living and Sunnington Memory Care, two seniors housing communities in the Nashville suburb of Murfreesboro.

Designed by architect George Berardi, the 68-unit assisted living facility sits on five acres. The 26-unit memory care facility is across the street.

Sunnington LLC and Sunnington II LLC sold the properties for an undisclosed price. Inspirit has renamed the communities The Rutherford Assisted Living and Rutherford Memory Care.

The transaction marks the fifth and sixth acquisitions for Virginia-headquartered Inspirit, a new venture headed by industry veteran David McHarg. Suresh Saraswat, who is president and CEO of both Sunnington corporations, handled negotiations for the sellers.

Inspirit plans to renovate the two properties.
