NEW YORK CITY — Leumi, a commercial bank based in New York, has promoted Eric Halpern to national head of healthcare lending.
Halpern is now responsible for overseeing and growing the bank’s healthcare commercial banking business — including seniors housing — throughout the U.S.
Halpern has held several managerial roles since joining Leumi in 1987. Most recently, he was a group head in the New York Commercial Banking Division, leading New York/New Jersey healthcare lending growth of $300 million.
Halpern holds an MBA in finance and investments from Baruch College in New York and a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel.
