Lifespace Hires Russell Mauk as Vice President of Development

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Lifespace Communities has hired Russell Mauk as its new vice president of development, design and construction.

Mauk, a California-licensed architect, brings 35 years of experience to the role. He previously worked at HumanGood, a California-based nonprofit seniors housing provider, where he managed the redevelopment of eight senior living communities and the development of one new campus. Prior to that, he worked for Sun Microsystems, a California-based technology firm, where he managed the development of two high-tech campuses, including the company’s headquarters. Additionally, he has developed office, retail and warehouse properties.

Mauk holds a master’s degree in architecture from Columbia University in New York City and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. 

Based in West Des Moines, Lifespace Communities is the owner and operator of 12 senior living communities across seven states.
