Lifespace Opens $20M Renovation at CCRC in Florida

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — Lifespace Communities has opened a $20 million renovation at Harbour’s Edge, a continuing care retirement community in Delray Beach, a coastal city in Palm Beach County.

The project includes a new learning center with various multimedia and classroom areas, a renovated theater, new spa and fitness center, a second dining venue, and a remodeled waterfront restaurant with an exhibition kitchen, wine bar and other amenities.

Concurrent with the ribbon cutting, Lifespace named James Horsman as the new executive director of the community. Horsman has more than three decades of luxury hotel and resort experience at properties including The Ritz-Carlton Hotel company and Destination Hotels.

Lifespace Communities is a Des Moines, Iowa-based nonprofit operator of 12 CCRCs in Iowa, Minnesota, Kansas, Illinois, Nebraska, Pennsylvania and Florida.
