Masonic Homes Rebrands as Masonic Communities Kentucky, Nears Completion of $95M in New Construction

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Masonic Homes, a Louisville-based nonprofit owner-operator, has rebranded as Masonic Communities Kentucky.

The change comes as the company surpasses its 150th anniversary and nears completion of $95 million in new seniors housing buildings.

“Several months ago, we began an extensive undertaking to talk with many of our residents, our employees, and our community partners to hear from them what Masonic Homes really means to them,” says Gary Marsh, the company’s CEO. “One word that we kept hearing over and over is the word ‘community.’ It’s certainly fitting for us, since communities bring people and resources together. We are stronger together than on our own.”

Masonic Homes partnered with Louisville-based advertising and public relations agency Bandy Carroll Hellige (BCH) to develop the new brand.

The company has multiple expansions and new construction set to be delivered this year, including:

  • Meadow Active Lifestyle Community, scheduled to open in July, will feature 122 independent living apartments in a 230,000-square-foot building on an 11-acre plot.
  • Grove Pointe Assisted Living Community will open this summer with 48 private apartments with personalized plans for daily assistance.
  • Masonic Communities also recently launched its onsite Care Clinic, which makes doctor appointments for residents and employees easy on the Masonic Communities Louisville Campus. The full-service clinic offers primary care physicians, along with specialists in podiatry, chiropractic, optometry, audiology, radiology, lab services and behavioral health.
  • Sproutlings Pediatric Day Care & Preschool, located at the Louisville Campus since 2011, will undergo an expansion this fall to its 13,000 square-foot community. The expansion will include four new classrooms and a large indoor multipurpose room, enabling Sproutlings to serve an additional 48 children and help reduce a year-long wait list.
