PEORIA, Ill. — Healthcare real estate developer Caddis has hired McShane Construction Co. to build a new Heartis luxury assisted living and memory care community in Peoria.
The new community will feature 108 units on a seven-acre parcel at 8201 N. Illinois Route 91. Construction consists of two adjoined components totaling 97,000 square feet — a single-story, 36-unit memory care building and a three-story residential building offering 72 assisted living apartments.
McShane will complete all site work, including three landscaped courtyards, walking paths and outdoor seating areas together with ample on-site parking. Katus LLC is providing architectural services.
McShane expects to complete construction during the third quarter of 2016. This will be the 11th Heartis community, and the first outside Texas.
