NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — Memory Care of New Braunfels has selected Vivian Edwards as the community’s executive director. She will help open the new 64-bed memory care community early next year and oversee all aspects of its daily operation.

Edwards has worked extensively in the memory care field, having served as administrator at Colonial Gardens Alzheimer’s Assisted Living of Texas in Austin and CIMA Hospice in San Antonio for nearly a decade. She also headed community relations at Barton House Assisted Living Alzheimer Residence, also in San Antonio.

Edwards was previously a sales and marketing representative for Air Force Village I & II (now called Blue Skies of Texas) in its skilled nursing healthcare and rehab, assisted living, memory care and independent living units. She was also involved in marketing at both Sunrise Nursing and Rehabilitation and Paramount Rehabilitation and Nursing in San Antonio.

Edwards has a degree in business from San Antonio College.
