Riverwood Retirement to Add 40 New Units to Community in Central Florida

by Jeff Shaw

ORANGE CITY, Fla. — Management and consulting firm Riverwood Retirement Management Inc. has started a 40-unit expansion to the villas at John Knox Village of Central Florida in Orange City.

The $12 million expansion will be built on 17.5 acres contiguous to the existing senior living community. Riverwood expects to accept residents for the expansion in fall of 2016.

As the management company, Riverwood helped design the project and will oversee development. The owners of John Knox Village will act as the contractor for the entire project, as the community’s debt-free status allows the project to commence without financing from an outside lender.
