GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Sodexo has hired Allison Lane as communications director for Sodexo Seniors.
Sodexo is a French company with a U.S. headquarters in Gaithersburg. The company provides on-site Services, benefits and rewards services, and personal and home services. Sodexo Seniors is the company’s senior living-specific wing.
In her new position, Lane is responsible for the management and implementation of all internal and external communications strategies for Sodexo Seniors. She is responsible for establishing and achieving yearly objectives for communicative success and growth.
Lane joins the Sodexo Seniors team from her consultancy Tree Swing Communications, which focused on integrated marketing, reputation management and public relations for clients including Johns Hopkins’ School of Nursing, Quicken Loans, Living Classrooms and KCW Engineering.
Lane’s experience includes communications roles with global companies SAS, The Body Shop, Burt’s Bees, Unilever and The Quaker Oats Company. She started her career in global communications and public relations firms Edelman and Golin/Harris in New York.
Lane serves on the volunteer board of Maryland Green Schools and the Maryland Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland.
