ORLANDO, Fla. — Sonata Senior Living has promoted Shelley Edsen from senior vice president of operations to chief executive officer.
As COO, Edsen will oversee the company’s operational and care initiatives, as well as employee development.
Edsen has over 18 years of leadership experience in the seniors housing industry, holding senior management and regional director roles with owners, developers and operators such as Summerville Senior Living, Legacy Senior Living and Marriott Senior Living.
Edsen graduated from Florida State University with a master’s degree in healthcare administration, and from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
Orlando-based Sonata Senior Living is a developer, owner and operator of seniors housing properties in Florida. The company currently operates eight communities.
