The Goodman Group Appoints Mark Holmes National Director of Culinary Operations

CHASKA, Minn. — Seniors housing operator The Goodman Group has named Mark Holmes its national director of culinary operations.

Holmes will report to Craig Edinger, the company’s vice president of senior living and health care. Holmes will manage the culinary and dining experiences for residents at all of The Goodman Group’s managed communities.

The Goodman Group’s culinary program features whole or minimally processed foods that are locally sourced and plant-based. The program is integrated into menus and food offerings for The Goodman Group’s independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities.

Holmes has experience in creative menu building, managing and creating culinary programs, cost control, regulatory compliance, and complete oversight of entire senior living and health care dining services operations.

Most recently, Holmes served as director of hospitality and dining services at HarborChase of Villages Crossing, an assisted living and memory care community in Lady Lake, Fla. Prior to that, he was a long-term care culinary and dining services consultant in Orlando.

Holmes has a culinary arts degree from City & Guilds of London Institute. He is a certified dietary manager and certified food protection professional from the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers.

Based in Chaska just southwest of Minneapolis, The Goodman Group oversees communities with more than 13,800 residents and 4,300 employees in 10 states and the United Kingdom.
