DALLAS — The Legacy Senior Communities has broken ground on The Legacy Midtown Park, a nonprofit continuing care retirement community in Dallas. Development costs are estimated at $175 million.

Once completed, the project will feature 184 independent living apartments, 50 assisted living apartments, 36 memory care residences and 54 suites for short-term rehabilitation or long-term care. Legacy’s home health services will also be available to help with care needs at the community.

Located on 10 acres in the Midtown Park development, The Legacy Midtown Park will be the only Jewish-sponsored rental retirement community in Dallas, though it will welcome residents of all faiths.

Project partners include Dallas-based D2 Architecture, Andres Construction Services, interior design firm StudioSIX5, landscape architect Talley Associates, development consultant The Belaire Group, lead arranger SunTrust Bank, and Frost Bank.

Legacy expects the first units to come online, starting with the skilled nursing units, in fall 2019. The other levels of care are scheduled to open in 2020.
