PLEASANT HILL, Tenn. — United Church Homes Management has been brought on as the new operator of Uplands Village, a continuing care retirement community serving 275 residents in Pleasant Hill, located between Nashville and Knoxville.

The three-year management agreement begins Oct. 1. As part of the transaction, the community’s executive director, nursing home administrator and controller will be employees of United Church Homes. Uplands Village, which was a single-community operator, cited regulatory and operational challenges as the reason behind the change.

The community currently has 150 independent living residents, 55 assisted living residents, 55 skilled nursing residents and 15 memory care residents. The property sits on a 500-acre plot.

United Church Homes, based in Marion, Ohio, is a nonprofit, faith-based owner and operator with 4,500 residents in 14 states. United Church Homes Management is the management services affiliate of the company.
