Wolverine Building Group Announces Four New Hires

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Wolverine Building Group, a Grand Rapids-based construction company that serves the seniors housing industry, has announced four new team members.

Benjamin Amponsah was hired as human resource director, Annette Zimmer and Kurtis Fritz as project managers, and Michelle Glover as marketing and communication manager. Each person was hired to fill a newly created position in response to industry growth.

Amponsah has over 13 years of experience in human resources and was most recently with AxiosHR, where he served at the director of HR consulting for nearly five years. He has also held human resource positions with Aquinas College, Spectrum Health, Metro Health and Lacks Enterprises.

Zimmer has a background in construction, having worked in the industry for over 30 years. Prior to joining Wolverine Building Group, Zimmer held roles with A-Z Construction Management, Rockford Construction, ABC Discovery Center Inc., Meijer and Midwest Tile Inc., a company she established independently.

Fritz has over seven years of experience in the construction industry and most recently worked as a construction project manager for Meijer Inc., where he coordinated the construction of super centers and market format stores from design through completion. He has also held roles with Bryan Contracting Group and Fessler and Bowman Concrete Construction.

Glover has nearly four year of experience in the marketing and communications industry. Prior to joining Wolverine Building Group, she worked as an events project manager for the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, where she managed over 80 events and programs each year. She has also worked at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park, the Grand Rapids Public Museum and 8THIRTYFOUR Integrated Communications.
