PHOENIX — Hunt Real Estate Capital has provided a $7 million bridge loan to finance the acquisition of Hawthorn Court at Ahwatukee, a seniors housing property in Phoenix.

Hawthorn Court at Ahwatukee is a 44-unit memory care facility located in the affluent Ahwatukee area of the city. Built in 2000 and renovated in 2016, the community is situated on three acres.

The borrower is a joint venture partnership between CALCAP Real Estate Advisors, a real estate investment firm based in California, and Greg Roderick, president and CEO of Frontier Management, an owner and operator of seniors housing communities.

Hunt Real Estate Capital’s Brady Johnson originated the deal along with Kathryn Burton Gray and Michael Jones. The loan term is 24-months with interest-only payments for the entire loan.

Jacob Gehl, Amy Sitzman and Giancarlo Riso of Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors represented the seller, owner-operator Senior Resource Group, in the transaction.
