DENVER — MorningStar Senior Living has hired James Parker as the company’s new chief operating officer.
Parker has over 30 years of operational and development expertise in the seniors housing industry. He was selected following a national search for a candidate to fill the position.
For the past 10 years Parker has worked in leadership positions in the operations, financing and development of Spectrum Retirement Communities LLC, most recently as senior vice president of development and capital markets. Earlier in his career, Parker served for 10 years as CFO for Continuum Health Partnerships, an owner, operator and developer of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
Parker graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in business administration.
Based in Denver, MorningStar Senior Living is a developer and operator of seniors housing communities featuring a portfolio of over 30 communities and 3,000 units under operation or development.
