MOORESTOWN, N.J. — Acts Retirement-Life Communities Inc., one of the nation’s largest nonprofit operators, has announced its affiliation agreement with The Evergreens, a 300-unit continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Moorestown.
Located just across the Delaware River from Philadelphia, The Evergreens was founded in 1919 by The Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey. It features 200 independent living apartments and a healthcare center with 66 assisted living units and 34 skilled nursing beds. The 32-acre campus is currently home to 225 residents.
As part of its strategic growth initiative, Philadelphia-based Acts is expanding its senior living operations into New Jersey. Acts currently owns and manages 23 CCRCs across the eastern seaboard with a total value of approximately $1.5 billion.
