CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Charter Senior Living has taken over management of Summit View Senior Community in Chattanooga. Charter will rebrand the independent living and assisted living community as Charter Senior Living of Chattanooga. Charter plans to renovate and update the community’s cosmetic features and plans to maintain the current staff and add additional staff as needed.
CYPRESS, Texas — Caldwell Communities has opened Cadence Creek at Towne Lake, an active adult community in Cypress, a suburb of Houston. The community features one- and two-bedroom apartments and cottages ranging from 760 to 1,230 square feet. The number of units was not disclosed. Caldwell opened its first community in nearby Spring at the end of 2022.
KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Ensign Group Inc. (NASDAQ: ENSG) has acquired the operations of Providence Place, a 45-bed skilled nursing facility in Kansas City. Providence Place is located on the campus of Providence Medical Center. The acquisition is subject to a long-term, triple-net lease. This acquisition brings Ensign’s portfolio to 296 healthcare operations, 26 of which also include senior living operations, across 13 states.
VICTORIA, Texas — Regency Integrated Health Services has rebranded its Texas-based portfolio of 63 skilled nursing facilities as Wellsential Health properties. The properties are all being transitioned to a nonprofit model as part of the change. Wellsential Health has more than 7,000 team members and 6,000 patients and residents. The organization claims it is now the largest family of nonprofit skilled nursing facilities in Texas.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The occupancy rate for private-pay seniors housing rose 80 basis points to 84.4 percent in the second quarter of 2023, according to data from NIC MAP Vision. It’s the ninth consecutive quarterly increase in occupancy as the industry continues to recover from impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. MASON, Ohio — Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors has arranged the sale of Anthology of Mason, a 101-unit assisted living and memory care community in the Cincinnati suburb of Mason. The seller was Anthology Senior Living, with is a subsidiary of CA Ventures. Community First Solutions, an institutional investor with an all-cash offer, acquired the property for an undisclosed price. GREENWOOD, Ind. — LCS Development has unveiled plans for a $100 million expansion project at Greenwood Village South, a seniors housing community in Greenwood, a southern suburb of Indianapolis. Plans include a new salon. library, indoor pool, 280-seat auditorium and an outdoor courtyard for pickleball and bocce ball. FORT WORTH, Texas — Developer and operator Tradition Senior Living has completed construction on a 297-unit project within the 270-acre Clearfork mixed-use development in Fort Worth. The Tradition-Clearfork offers 214 independent living residences and 95 assisted living and memory care units. Residences come in one- and two-bedroom formats and range in size from 880 to 2,200 square feet. Jackson & Ryan Architects designed the project, and Rogers-O’Brien Construction served as general contractor.
