Berkeley Point Capital Hires Eric Keifer as Senior Managing Director

BOSTON — Berkeley Point Capital has hired Eric Keifer as senior managing director, head of FHA, affordable, and seniors housing.

Prior to Berkeley Point, Keifer was general counsel and senior vice president at Rockport Mortgage Corp. where he oversaw all HUD-insured multifamily and healthcare closings. Prior to that, Keifer worked for Berkadia and Capmark.

Keifer earned a J.D. from Western New England College School of Law in 1997. He began his career as general counsel for Commercial Capital Corp. in New York City, overseeing Small Business Association loan closings.

From there he moved into the closing department of GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corporation closing HUD-insured loans. In 2000, he joined the law firm Hessel & Aluise, PC, in Washington, D.C., where his practice focused primarily on HUD-related matters. In 2002, Keifer re-joined GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corp. as senior vice president and manager of the FHA closing department.
