Pennrose Opens 65-Unit Phase II Stoneridge Villas Affordable Community in Huntsville, Alabama

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Pennrose, the Huntsville Housing Authority (HHA), BLOC Global Development Group (BLOC) and other project partners have opened Stoneridge Villas Phase II, which adds 65 affordable seniors housing units to the Stoneridge Villas development at 1700 Balch Road. With the completion of the second and final phase, Stoneridge Villas now features 145 units and supportive services on a 21.7-acre site. Stoneridge Villas Phase II includes a mix of one and two-bedroom units for seniors in cottage-style buildings. All 65 units will be fully adaptable, with five apartments wheelchair-accessible …

Highlands Residential, Perennial Properties Plan 148-Unit Active Adult Community in Lawrenceville, Georgia

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Highlands Residential and Perennial Properties have formed a joint venture to build Park Place Apartments, a 148-unit active adult community in Lawrenceville, approximately 30 miles northeast of Atlanta. Construction of the project is already underway, and first move-ins are scheduled for 2024. The senior population of Gwinnett County is expected to grow by 33.6 percent over the next 10 years and Atlanta metro wide by 47 percent, according to the developers. Joint Venture Breaks Ground on Valage Carson Valley in Minden, Nevada

MINDEN, Nev. — A joint venture between Greystone Housing Impact Investors LP (NYSE: GHI) and ISL Ventures has broken ground on Valage Carson Valley, a seniors housing community in Minden, a small municipality of approximately 3,000 people just east of Lake Tahoe. Capitol Seniors Housing Completes 87-Unit Arbor Terrace Marlton in New Jersey

MARLTON, N.J. — Capitol Seniors Housing has completed Arbor Terrace Marlton, an 87-unit assisted living and memory care community in Marlton, approximately 15 miles east of Philadelphia. Project partners include operator The Arbor Co., architecture and design firm Meyer, and builder IMC Construction. The three-story, 76,500-square-foot community features 60 assisted living apartments, 27 memory care units and 15,000 square feet of amenity space. Construction began in April 2021.

AMS Acquisitions, Vector Group Break Ground on 100-Unit Seniors Housing Project in Howell, New Jersey

HOWELL, N.J. — A partnership between New Jersey-based investment firm AMS Acquisitions and Miami-based holding company Vector Group has broken ground on a 100-unit seniors housing project in Howell, located east of Trenton near the Jersey Shore. The site spans 14 acres, and the four-building project will feature one- and two-bedroom units that will be reserved for renters age 55 and above. Amenities will include a pool, great room with a communal kitchen, fitness center, outdoor grilling areas and a tenant lounge. Construction is expected to last about 18 months.
