BETTENDORF, Iowa — Senior Living Investment Brokerage (SLIB) has arranged the sale of Iowa Masonic, a 79-bed skilled nursing facility and 40-unit independent living community in the Davenport suburb of Bettendorf. The seller was a local nonprofit that sought to sell in order to turn the business over to a company with experience that could ensure the long-term viability of the facility. The buyer was a private owner with additional communities in Iowa. The price was not disclosed. Ryan Saul and Nick Cacciabando of SLIB handled the transaction.

Resort Lifestyle Communities, founded in 2001 and based in Lincoln, Nebraska, develops all-inclusive, resort-style communities for adults age 55 and over.
ANNA, Texas — Locally based developer JPI, in partnership with the City of Anna, has begun leasing Parmore Anna Senior Living, a luxury independent living community located approximately 50 miles north of Dallas. The property will be the first of its kind in Anna and JPI’s second installment in its new line of senior housing developments. The Anna Housing Finance Corp. is also a partner on the project. The 150,000-square-foot community will span over nine acres and include 185 apartments. Rents start at $1,100 per month for a one-bedroom unit.
NORTHBROOK, Ill. — Covenant Living Communities and Services has broken ground on an expansion project at Covenant Living of Northbrook in Northbrook, a suburb north of Chicago. The $66.5 million expansion includes three new three-story carriage homes. This will add 36 new one- and two-bedroom apartments, each with a large patio or balcony and private garage. SBC was responsible for selecting the interior finishes, as well as the selection and procurement of the furnishings and artwork.
