SALT LAKE CITY — Bridge Investment Group, an investment fund manager headquartered in Salt Lake City, has completed a $1.6 billion in equity commitments, which will be managed by the company’s subsidiary, Bridge Debt Strategies Fund Manager LLC.

NEW YORK AND TOKYO — SoftBank Group Corp., a Tokyo-based tech conglomerate, has entered into a definitive merger agreement under which the company will acquire equity firm Fortress Investment Group LLC (NYSE: FIG) for approximately $3.3 billion in cash. Fortress is an investor in both independent living giant Holiday Retirement and publicly traded seniors housing REIT New Senior Investment Group.
LOS ANGELES and NEW YORK CITY — The shareholders of Colony Capital Inc. (NYSE: CLNY), NorthStar Asset Management Group Inc. (NYSE: NSAM) and NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. (NYSE: NRF) have all approved the planned merger of the three companies into one REIT.
