WEST POINT, Pa. — J. Mark Vanderbeck, CEO of Acts Retirement-Life Communities and a longtime leader in the nonprofit seniors housing industry, has passed away. His age and the cause of death were not disclosed, but Acts described the passing as “sudden.”

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Argentum’s Board of Directors has elected Tom Grape, chairman and chief executive officer at Benchmark Senior Living, to serve on its board. Grape was a founder of both Benchmark and Argentum (at the time known as the Assisted Living Federation of America) and has previously served as chairman of the board.
