BETHESDA, Md. — CBRE has hired Joshua Hausfeld as a debt and structured finance professional within the company’s national seniors housing practice.
Hausfeld will be an executive vice president based in CBRE’s Bethesda office, specializing in agency loans for healthcare and seniors housing properties, including independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing facilities.
Hausfeld will lead CBRE’s HUD 232 origination efforts nationally, and partner with CBRE National Senior Housing professionals Aron Will, Austin Sacco and Lisa Widmier.
Prior to joining CBRE, Hausfeld was a managing director at SunTrust Commercial Real Estate (formerly Pillar Capital Finance), leading the seniors housing and healthcare finance group. Prior to SunTrust, he was a senior director at a dedicated HUD/FHA company where he originated and underwrote healthcare and multifamily properties under all of HUD’s lending programs. He also worked in an underwriting capacity for Merrill Lynch Capital’s healthcare finance division, underwriting seniors housing transactions across all care levels.
Hausfeld has more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience and maintains both LEAN 232 and MAP Multifamily Underwriter certifications. He holds an M.B.A. and a master’s degree in health finance from Johns Hopkins University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
