Chicago Pacific Founders Hires Guy Geller for Dual Executive Roles

by Jeff Shaw

MINNEAPOLIS — Chicago Pacific Founders has hired seniors housing industry veteran Guy Geller to two executive roles within the company’s subsidiaries. Geller will serve as the chief operating officer of CPF Living Communities and as president of Grace Management.

The hiring follows the retirement announcement of Gene and Mari Jo Grace, the founders of Grace Management. Chicago-based investment fund Chicago Pacific Founders acquired the company two years ago. Mari Jo Grace’s tasks will largely be taken over by existing employees within the company — Amy Perkins, director of operations, and Jody Boedigheimer, vice president. Geller will take over Gene Grace’s role in the company.

Geller has an 18-year background in seniors housing, including as managing director of Sunrise Senior Living’s U.K. portfolio and positions with Prudential Mortgage Capital and Brookdale. He most recently worked as managing director of the seniors housing portfolio of private equity firm DiNapoli Capital Partners.

In his position with Grace, Geller will work to “expand the brand” of the operator. With CPF Living Communities, Geller will support new acquisitions and additional growth opportunities. He will report to John Rijos, chairman of Chicago Pacific Founders.
