KANSAS CITY, Mo. — GlynnDevins, a Kansas City-based marketing firm serving the seniors housing sector, has hired Scott Kokotan as its new chief financial officer.
Kokotan emerged as the leading candidate following a nationwide search. Fenaroli & Associates, an executive search firm, assisted with the effort.
Kokotan, who officially starts on March 25, will manage GlynnDevins’ daily internal and external financial functions. This includes overseeing various departments such as finance and accounting, human resources, and facilities and operations, as well as assessing the current financial infrastructure to enable ongoing growth and acquisitions. He’ll also focus on continuing to improve the firm’s reporting, budgeting, planning and other financial processes.
Kokotan holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Iowa. He also earned an advanced accounting certification from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, as well as his Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst credentials.
Kokotan has held numerous CFO and executive leadership positions during his nearly 25-year career, most recently at HH Ventures LLC, a wireless telecom and technology company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Kokotan replaces GlynnDevins’ outgoing CFO, Chris Smith, who announced late last year he was departing the agency after 18 years to pursue a career focused on personal advisory relationships.
