NEW YORK CITY — Greystone, a New York City-based healthcare facility owner and operator, has acquired 12 skilled nursing facilities and one supportive living community in Illinois and Missouri.
The properties were all previously operated by Rosewood Care Centers. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) sold the assets for an undisclosed price.
The portfolio totals 1,662 beds, and Greystone Healthcare Management Midwest will rebrand and operate the communities.
The 13 properties are:
- Rosewood Care Center of Alton, Illinois, now named Riverside Rehab & Healthcare
- Rosewood Care Center of East Peoria, Illinois, now named Lakeside Rehab & Healthcare
- Rosewood Care Center of Edwardsville, Illinois, now named Care Center at Center Grove
- Rosewood Care Center of Elgin, Illinois, now named Fox River Rehab & Healthcare
- Rosewood Care Center of Inverness, Illinois, now named Inverness Health & Rehab
- Rosewood Care Center of Joliet, Illinois, now named Lakeshore Rehab & Healthcare
- Rosewood Care Center of Moline, Illinois, now named Centennial Rehab & Healthcare
- Rosewood Care Center of Northbrook, Illinois, now named Lake Cook Rehab & Healthcare
- Rosewood Care Center of Peoria, Illinois, now named University Rehab at Northmoor
- Rosewood Care Center of Rockford, Illinois, now named Carriage Rehab & Healthcare
- Rosewood Care Center of St. Charles, Illinois, now named Dunham Rehab & Healthcare
- Rosewood Care Center of St. Louis, now named Crest View Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center
- Foxes Grove Supportive Living of Wood River, Illinois, which will retain its existing name
To support the expansion, Vince McGowen has joined Greystone Healthcare Management as senior vice president of operations, Midwest. He comes to Greystone with over 25 years of healthcare sector expertise, much of that in the Midwest.
