VERO BEACH, Fla. — Harbor Retirement Associates (HRA), a regional developer and operator based in Vero Beach, has announced a shake-up in its C Suite. Tim Smick, currently president and CEO, will transition to the positions of chairman and managing partner. Sarabeth Hanson, previously chief operating officer, will take the reins as president and CEO.
In his new position, Smick will spend his time in business development, strategic planning and capital development.
“I will maintain a regular presence in HRA but will take longer vacations and have more days off,” says Smick. “As we have worked on our succession plan the last three years, it became apparent to me that Sarabeth was a natural to assume the role of president and CEO.”
Hanson brings 25 years of senior living experience to her new role. She is active on the Executive Board of ASHA and Florida Argentum. She has presented at NIC, ASHA, InterFace Conference Group and Argentum.
HRA currently operates 29 communities in seven states, with more under development.
