ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Holbrook, an active adult developer based in the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta, has unveiled its plans for $1 billion in seniors housing development in the Southeastern United States.
Currently, Holbrook has two suburban Atlanta communities slated to open later this summer in Decatur and Acworth, with another in Woodstock scheduled to open in 2020. Additional sites are being identified in Greenville, S.C.; Charleston, S.C.; and Nashville, Tenn. Each new Holbrook community has a development cost of approximately $80 million to $130 million.
Monthly rental rates start at $3,300 per month depending upon the location, size and custom features of the apartment. Holbrook communities are integrated into their surrounding neighborhoods and all of the communities’ restaurants will be open to the general public as well as Holbrook residents.
“People in their second half of life want to be and remain an active part of their community,” says Holbrook Chairman Al Holbrook.
In addition to its active adult properties, Holbrook owns and operates three other Atlanta-area locations — in Acworth, Dunwoody and Grayson — that offer assisted living and memory care.
