ROCKVILLE, Md. — Ingleside, a Rockville-based nonprofit operator, has hired Salvatore “Sam” Albanese as senior vice president of human resources and compliance. His responsibilities will consist of leading Ingleside’s human resources organization and its corporate compliance program.
Albanese comes to Ingleside with more than 30 years of experience designing HR strategic business models that provide flexibility while advancing employee engagement, productivity and success. Most recently, he served as vice president and chief human resources officer for Trinity Health and Trinity Health Senior Communities for 14 years. During his tenure, he reduced colleague turnover by more than 30 percent in one year, which saved an estimated $4.5 million.
Albanese has been a national speaker for the Long-Term Care and Senior Living CXO Summit, The American Society of Healthcare Human Resources Administration, LeadingAge National Conference and LeadingAge of Michigan. He is the past president of Michigan’s Healthcare Human Resources Association.
Albanese earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., and received the President’s Award for Outstanding Leadership from the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration. He also attended the University of Michigan’s Executive Education program for strategic human resources planning.
