BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Jewish Senior Services, a nonprofit seniors housing community in Bridgeport, has opened the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Campus, a $78 million expansion of the community.

The new campus provides skilled nursing, assisted living and memory care services.

The campus is based on the Household Model of skilled nursing, which provides a more personalized, home-like setting for its residents. Each of the “households” is a wing of the property hosting up to 14 residents with a private bedroom and bathroom. Each wing has a shared kitchen, dining room, living room, balcony and den.

Perkins Eastman was the architect for the campus, which KBE Building Corp. constructed. The campus spans 377,000 square feet.

Jewish Senior Services has served southern Connecticut for over 40 years. Services include skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation, adult day care, home healthcare and hospice.

KBE Building Corp. is a Connecticut-based builder of seniors housing communities. The company has built 3 million square feet of senior living space totaling $450 million.
