PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Kisco Senior Living has unveiled plans to build a 54-unit expansion to La Posada, a continuing care retirement community in Palm Beach Gardens, approximately 80 miles north of Miami.
Development costs are estimated at $35 million. In addition to the new units, the expansion, named Mallorca at La Posada, will feature a restaurant, pub, salon, spa, fitness space and various indoor and outdoor common areas.
As part of the project, Kisco will also renovate the existing clubhouse and add a new, 3,400-square-foot wellness center.
Construction has already started, with a planned completion in the first quarter of 2018.
Based in Carlsbad, Calif., Kisco operates 21 communities totaling 3,700 units in California, Florida, Hawaii, North Carolina, Texas, Utah and Virginia.
