COLUMBUS, Ohio — Lancaster Pollard has hired Laca Wong-Hammond as a managing director with the company’s affiliate OREC Securities LLC, which provides mergers and acquisitions (M&A) services.
Wong-Hammond will co-lead business development efforts for the firm’s sell-side and buy-side advisory services to owners and operators of seniors housing and care properties, as well as across the health care and housing continuums.
Wong-Hammond has closed over $10 billion of M&A and capital market transactions throughout her career, including acquisition and divestiture of assets, sale/leaseback, and capital placement of debt and equity across property types. Prior to joining Lancaster Pollard, she was a managing director in the corporate finance M&A practice at Duff & Phelps.
Wong-Hammond was selected by Real Estate Forum as a 2016 Top Woman in Retail Real Estate and has served on a variety of industry boards and committees. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, she was the head of healthcare real estate at Raymond James. She graduated from Cornell University and studied at the London School of Economics and Harvard Law School.
Although Lancaster Pollard is based in Columbus, Wong-Hammond will be based in New York.
