BALA CYNWYD, Penn. — LCB Senior Living has named Ashley Russo as executive director of The Residence at Bala Cynwyd, an assisted living and memory care community in the Philadelphia suburb of Bala Cynwyd.
Russo holds master’s degrees in gerontology and health administration from the University of Southern California, as well as a bachelor’s degree in communications from Rider University. She is a Certified Assisted Living Administrator, a Certified Dementia Practitioner, and is pursuing a license as a Personal Care Home Administrator.
Russo has 15 years’ experience in the senior living industry, serving in a variety of leadership roles in several communities. Prior to joining The Residence at Bala Cynwyd, she acted as an executive director for HarborChase.
The Residence at Bala Cynwyd is located just steps away from the Cynwyd Heritage Trail on the site of the former Lee’s Shoddy Mill. Built in the 1850s as Benjamin Schofield’s West Manayunk Woolen Mills, the site eventually became known as Lee’s Shoddy Mill, named after the heavy fabric created from recycled wool and cotton.
