NIC Launches New Data, Analytics to Combat COVID-19

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC), an Annapolis-based nonprofit data firm serving the seniors housing industry, has unveiled a new set of data and analytics offerings dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The information is available to the public, at no cost, at the COVID-19 Resource Center on NIC’s website.

The new offerings include Executive Survey Insights, a weekly “pulse” of the industry from hundreds of operators; faster turnaround on NIC MAP information; a Leadership Huddle webinar series; free access to NIC’s braindate video conferencing program; increased frequency of blog posts; and a new weekly recap newsletter specifically focusing on COVID-19.

“Our focus on gathering usable data on the impacts of the virus will help inform capital and operators on trends, opportunities and risks,” says Brian Jurutka, CEO and president of NIC. “To support decision-makers as they navigate this crisis, NIC is doing what we do best by providing timely COVID-relevant data, analytics and connections. And, to keep pace with events, we’re doing so on a highly accelerated schedule.”

The resource center is seeing “record engagement” on the NIC website, adds Jurutka.

“There will be more to come, as the entire NIC staff, working remotely, continues to inform the seniors housing and care sector, including the operators, capital providers, service providers, and healthcare partners it depends on to be successful in its mission.”
