BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — The Weitz Company has completed construction of the Redbud expansion project at The Heritage at Brentwood, a senior living community located 20 miles south of Nashville in Brentwood.
This phase of construction, the fourth for The Heritage at Brentwood, added five new buildings to the 48-acre community overseen by senior living operator Life Care Services and LCS Development. In total, 256,660 square feet of homes and amenities were constructed and connected to the existing building that remained occupied during the 20-month project.
More than 100 residences — 97 independent living and 11 assisted living — were built during Phase IV. Additional amenities delivered included a Healthy Life Center with an indoor pool, expanded fitness center, group exercise suite, day spa with massage room and beauty salon.
The dining room was also expanded and now features a display kitchen. Underground parking for the new residences, a 300-plus-seat auditorium, woodworking shop, outdoor courtyard and commons clubhouse were also part of the project scope.
Weitz was a joint venture partner on this phase with local construction firm Hannah Constructors. Nashville-based HFR Design led the design on the project.
