CHAMBLEE, Ga. — Bank of America has provided a $28,000 grant to Mercy Housing Southeast (MHSE), an affordable housing nonprofit currently developing a 79-unit property for seniors in the Atlanta suburb of Chamblee.

The check was delivered at the property, Senior Residences at Mercy Park, which is scheduled for completion in early 2018. The funds will support MHSE’s general operations.

Senior Residences at Mercy Park will be restricted to residents over the age of 62. The community is being built next to a full-service health clinic run by Mercy Care.

Based in Atlanta, MHSE is the Southeastern regional office of Denver-based Mercy Housing. The company serves communities in Georgia, Ohio, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina. It has developed or preserved 44 projects delivering more than 3,900 affordable rental homes for over 8,000 people since 1996.
