Masterpiece Living’s Centers for Successful Aging Set a New Benchmark for Older Adult Organizations Nationwide

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — In 2013, Masterpiece Living, a multi-specialty group that partners with organizations to maximize the potential of older adults, introduced Center for Successful Aging (CSA) certification.

CSA certification measures elements across all levels of living within an organization, such as: successful aging culture, as reflected through empowering language and visible commitment to successful aging; engaged leadership; community outreach; active coaching; and staff-to-resident engagement.

Based on strict criteria and the demonstration of health outcomes set forth by a team of experts in the aging profession, Masterpiece Living awarded this designation in 2014 to six forward-thinking leaders who have distinguished themselves from other older adult organizations by implementing innovative systems, policies and procedures that provide a unique culture of growth and empowerment for residents: The Buckingham at Houston (a Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation Community), Clark-Lindsey Village, Holly Creek Retirement Community (a Christian Living Community), Rosewood Retirement Community (an ABHOW Community), Terraces of Phoenix (an ABHOW Community), and Wesleyan Senior Living. These six communities join Somerby of Mobile and Querencia at Barton Creek (a Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation), as distinguished recipients, which stands for a two-year period.

“Becoming a certified Center for Successful Aging is a crowning achievement,” says Dr. Roger Landry, Masterpiece Living president and award-winning author of the book, Live Long, Die Short: A Guide to Authentic Health and Successful Aging. “It shouts out to all that this place is a pioneer in the transformation of aging from the stereotype of decline, to the new paradigm of aging as continued growth and potential.”
