NEW YORK CITY — Monticello, a capital solutions provider based in New York, has named Ashish Shah to the position of managing director.
Shah, who brings over 25 years of experience in healthcare and traditional real estate, will concentrate his efforts on business development, origination, and expanding and bolstering Monticello’s capital and risk management capabilities.
Prior to Monticello, Shah co-led Formation Capital’s lending group with a primary focus on business development and capital markets/syndications. He was previously at Oxford Finance and GE Healthcare Financial Services in a variety of business development, risk management and capital markets leadership roles in the US and internationally, including the launch of GE’s healthcare capital platform in Asia. He has extensive experience in the origination, structuring and underwriting of commercial real estate debt and equity transactions in skilled nursing, seniors housing, medical office, specialty hospitals and other healthcare real estate.
Shah holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and political science from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
