MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. — Capitol Seniors Housing and The Arbor Company have started construction on Arbor Terrace of Morris Plains. The 82-unit seniors housing community will be located in Morris Plains, approximately 30 miles west of New York City.
The three-story community will feature 35 assisted living units and 26 memory care units. It will also offer 21 “Bridges” branded units, designed for seniors transitioning between assisted living needs and memory care needs.
Meyer Design Inc. provided architectural and interior design services. IMC is the general contractor. An information center is scheduled to open at the property in September 2016, with the community itself opening in spring of 2017.
The Arbor Company is an Atlanta-based operator of more than 25 communities in 11 states. Capitol Seniors Housing is a private equity firm based in Washington, D.C., focused exclusively on seniors housing investments.
