American Healthcare REIT Makes Four Leadership Appointments

IRVINE, Calif. — American Healthcare REIT (NYSE: AHR) has announced four new leadership appointments. 

Jeff Hanson has been named chief executive officer of the company, following a term as interim chief executive officer, which began in February 2026. He replaced Danny Prosky, who is retiring from his roles as president and chief executive officer following a medical leave. Prosky will continue to serve as a member of the board of directors and advisor to the management team. 

Gabe Willhite has been appointed to the role of president. Willhite first joined the company in 2016 and most recently served as chief operating officer, a role he assumed in 2022. 

Additionally, Scott Estes, an independent member of the board of directors, has been named lead independent director. Estes has served as an independent director since August 2022. He is the former chief financial officer of Welltower Inc. (NYSE: WELL). He also serves as chairman of the board for Essential Properties Realty Trust (NSE: EPRT) and as a member of the board of trustees and audit committee chair of JBG SMITH Properties (NSE: JBGS).
