CHICAGO — Ventas Inc. (NYSE: VTR) has found a new position for Todd Lillibridge, president and CEO of Ventas’ medical office subsidiary Lillibridge Healthcare Services (LHS).
In early 2018, Lillibridge will become a senior advisor to Debra Cafaro, the chairman and CEO of Ventas. The company has already started the search for Lillibridge’s replacement as CEO of the medical office portion of its business.
“Todd is a visionary who founded his namesake company more than 25 years ago with the goal of providing comprehensive real estate solutions to high-quality hospitals and health systems. He pioneered the medical office business as a unique institutional asset class, and built a nationally-respected brand,” says Cafaro. “LHS is a strong, enduring company and I have great confidence in its continued success.”
Lillibridge joined Ventas in 2010 with the closing of Ventas’ acquisition of LHS. Under his leadership, the medical office business grew to more than seven times its initial size. LHS operates more than 21 million square feet of outpatient facilities in more than 250 markets across 32 states.
Based in Chicago, Ventas is a publicly traded healthcare REIT. It is the third largest owner of seniors housing properties in the United States, with a portfolio of 740 communities as of the second quarter of 2017.
